Job Title: Floor TechnicianJob SummaryThe Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all facility floors and designated common areas. This role ensures floors are properly cleaned, maintained, and sanitized in accordance with facility policies and infection-control standards.Primary ResponsibilitiesClean, strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors throughout the facilityMaintain common areas including lobbies, offices, elevators, hallways, dining rooms, and nurses’ stationsClean utility rooms, soiled utility rooms, and basement areas as assignedMaintain outdoor areas including entrances, patios, parking lots, and loading docksEmpty and clean garbage bins throughout the building and exterior areasEnsure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly, including under and behind furnitureFollow safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicalsComplete assigned work according to daily, weekly, and periodic schedulesReport maintenance or safety concerns to Housekeeping or AdministrationWork Areas IncludeAll floors (1st–4th floors and basement)Hallways, dining rooms, nurses’ stationsElevators and tracksCommon areas, offices, conference roomsUtility rooms, locker rooms, loungesOutdoor grounds and smoking patiosRequirementsPrior floor care or housekeeping experience preferredAbility to operate floor care equipmentAbility to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work for extended periodsAttention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols
