Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical operations within a growing medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with our patients in a kind, tactful and professional manner.
- Must have excellent telephone skills, be a team player, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to use the computer and have experience with Electronic Medical Records (training provided).
- Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
- Making appointments and checking in patients.
- Verifying Insurance coverage
- Collecting payments
- Securing referrals.
- Scanning.
- Collect patient payments at check in
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in the system
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
Medical Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by providers.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection control standards.
- Support front office operations as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Screen incoming calls for referral to practitioners.
- Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs.
- Preferably bilingual Spanish speaking but not required.
You should have:
- Active and unrevoked CCMA, CMA, NCMA, AAMA or NCRMA certificate credentials is highly preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
