This role ensures that facilities machinery, processes, and safety systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing the operational efficiency and functionality of plant facilities systems and machinery.
- Support the design, installation, and maintenance of plant equipment and systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure proper function and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or performance issues; assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Help develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with plant management and maintenance teams to improve plant performance and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to plant operations.
- Assist in implementing quality control and safety measures to prevent accidents.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
- Support inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies for plant operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in engineering, technical, or related field preferred. Knowledge of but not limited to boilers, HVAC and electrical systems.
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in plant facilities operations, maintenance, or engineering support.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and plant management software is a plus.
- Certifications: Universal Refrigeration Certification and OSHA 10-Hour or equivalent safety certification preferred.
- Works in industrial plant settings, often outdoors or in production areas.
- May require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Exposure to machinery, chemicals, refringent or electrical systems; adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory.
