Quality Control Specialist - Marshall, MN
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the plant QC lab. As outlined by the facility QC Lab Manager, this position will help manage and facilitate key functions of the QC lab. Functions include, but are not limited to – data inputs and outputs, sampling and testing programs, technician training and proficiency, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and instrument maintenance.
Primary Job Functions:
Support the QC lab Safety program and help facilitate ADM Safety initiatives
Train, lead and develop laboratory technicians in all aspects of in-process and finished product testing
Develop, implement and maintain laboratory records and procedures adhering to applicable food/feed standards and regulations, as well as ADM Quality initiatives
Assist with facilitation of day-to-day lab operation
Standardize, maintain and optimize QC lab data inputs and outputs
Maintain laboratory instrumentation
Routine evaluation and follow-up on lab data outputs
Facilitation of continuous improvement projects for QC
Assist in review and optimization of analytical testing schedules and models for both internal testing and 3rd party labs
Assist in implementation and coordination of intra and inter-lab technician proficiency programs
Assist in root cause analysis for Quality and Food Safety non-compliance
Help provide troubleshooting support to the QC lab on weekends, holidays and outside of regular business hours
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science preferred
QA/QC experience preferred
Leadership experience preferred
Strong Safety record and commitment to Safety initiatives
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of Statistics preferred
Working knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, ISO, USP-NF, FCC desired, HACCP preferred
Ability to troubleshoot standard lab equipment (HPLC, GCs, Titrators, etc) preferred
Ability to work as a team member and independently
Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and feedback
Desire to see continuous improvement in processes and programs

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$52,800.00 - $99,400.00
