Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to:
- Load/unload trucks or railcars
- Deckhand duties assisting in the loading of barge freight
- General housekeeping duties (i.e. – clean equipment and/or buildings)
- Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
Job Descriptions of assignment being exposed to:
- Deckhand – Attaching/detaching cable from barges, and read draft measures on barge.
- Sample grader – Grading commodities that are unloaded for the day and enter tickets into the computer.
- Housekeeping – use of broom and or shovel to clean facility walkways, ledges, edges, and equipment.
- Truck dumping – Unloading trucks and entering ticket information into computer.
- Barge Loader –Maintaining the flow of commodities, adhering to safety protocols, strong understanding of loading procedures, conducting equipment inspections, and coordinating with various team members and harbor authorities.
