Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Logistics Customer Sales Specialist to join our growing brokerage division within a 3PL environment supported by an asset-based carrier. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in logistics and sales, with a focus on developing new customer relationships and expanding a portfolio of business.
Target Start Date
We plan to onboard the selected candidate within 1-3 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Identify logistics and shipping personnel, establish points of contact, and foster strong partnerships.
- Sales Growth: Sell freight services across multiple modes, including Full Truckload, Less Than Truckload, Flatbed, Reefer, and Specialized shipments.
- Lead Generation: Build a lead list and pursue growth opportunities within the shipping and logistics industry.
- Pricing & Negotiation: Assist in pricing and negotiating spot rates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Performance Goals: Actively strive to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales and referral targets.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google Sheets(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Traits:
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
