Job Summary
The Catholic School Teacher is responsible for providing academic instruction while supporting the spiritual, moral, and faith formation of students. The teacher integrates Catholic values into the curriculum, creates a safe and engaging learning environment, and helps students grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually in accordance with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Teach assigned subject areas while integrating Catholic values and teachings where appropriate
- Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Assess student learning through assignments, tests, projects, and observations
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior
- Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith-based activities
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and support staff
- Support student discipline policies and promote character development
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject area (required)
- State teaching certification or licensure (required or in progress, depending on school)
- Knowledge of classroom management and instructional best practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and values (for most schools, active participation in faith life is preferred)
