Job Summary
Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking dependable, flexible, and faith-filled Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting the academic, spiritual, and social development of students while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.
- Deliver instruction and supervise students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive and respectful discipline techniques.
- Take attendance and maintain appropriate classroom records.
- Communicate with school administrators and staff regarding student needs and classroom activities.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, dismissal, and other assigned duties.
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports student growth and achievement.
- Uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic School.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth development setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different grade levels and classroom environments.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Supportive of the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and families.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing classroom needs.
