Job Summary
St. Theodore Catholic Church is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher Aide to support the classroom teacher in providing a nurturing, faith-filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with early childhood learners.
The Pre-K Teacher Aide assists with instructional activities, classroom management, supervision, and daily routines that help children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Job Responsibilities
- Support the Pre-K teacher in implementing daily lessons, centers, and classroom activities.
- Assist with supervising children during classroom time, outdoor play, specials, meals, rest time, and transitions.
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed, reinforcing concepts and guiding behavior.
- Prepare classroom materials, supplies, and learning stations under the direction of the teacher.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in accordance with school and early childhood guidelines.
- Model and support the Catholic values and mission of the parish and school.
- Communicate positively and professionally with students, staff, and families.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school/parish events as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the teacher or administration.
- Experience working with young children in a school, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition with a love for early learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions, assist with lesson implementation, and support classroom management.
- Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and engage in active play as needed.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism required.
