What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Coordinator - Hourly position at ARCHDIOCESE OF SEATTLE PAYROLL SERVICES?
The beautiful parish of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Port Townsend is looking for a volunteer coordinator to collaborate with the Pastor, PAA, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish. The volunteer coordinator will assist the Pastor in the evaluation and assessment of the needs of the parish as well as collaborate with parish staff. They will help design and administer processes for identifying parish programs, services, and events that require parishioner involvement as well as recruit and train parish volunteers.
This position will recruit and manage our volunteer organization - allowing them to run more smoothly and efficiently. It will bolster current groups as well as allowing us to grow our volunteer groups/offerings.
A successful candidate will plan, organize, and direct efforts to promote parishioner involvement in the parish mission, programs and services. Experience in coordination and scheduling of liturgical roles is invaluable. They will also be asked to assist the various ministries and groups with their administrative needs.
Qualifications:Experience Needed:
- Experience working with volunteers and office duties
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
