Saturday: 5-6 PM
Sunday: 7:30-8:30 AM; 9:30-10:30 AM, 10-11 AM (Children’s Mass), 11:30-12:30 pm; 1:30-2:30 PM (Spanish Mass); 5-6 PM
Special events: Weddings; Funerals; Quinceaneras; Convalidations; Baptisms

Summary
The Sacristan will minister to all the major liturgies of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He/she will prepare, maintain, and inventory those objects necessary for each liturgical event as well as facilitate and welcome other ministers participating in the liturgy.

Summary

Position Responsibilities
- *Minister of Liturgies: Assists priests and deacons with liturgical celebrations.
- *Follows the Sacristan duties guidelines for Masses, Baptisms, Convalidations, Weddings, Quinceaneras and Funerals.
- *Arrives prior to celebration to allow for the unlocking of the church and proper set up for the liturgy.
- *Works with the Mass Coordinator to ensure all Lay Ministers positions are filled before each Saturday / Sunday Mass.
- *Gathers and/or ensures readiness of the appropriate items needed for the upcoming liturgy, including the altar, tabernacle, candles, oils, holy water, etc.
- *Ensures that all items from the altar are cleaned and returned to their proper places after each liturgy.
- *Performs light cleaning of the church, restrooms and high traffic areas after each liturgical celebration.
- *Care for flowers or other seasonal decorations
- *Refill candles as needed.
- *Opens and closes the church and other facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Fully initiated and practicing Catholic.
- Must have the flexibility to work an irregular work schedule. Schedule varies based on time of year, liturgical calendar and events in the Church.
- Maintains confidentiality in all matters.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
