The Office of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Miami, located at Miami Shores, Florida, in the Pastoral Center, has an opening for the full-time position of Associate Superintendent for Innovation and Equitable Access for the 2026/27 school year. This position reports directly to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and is responsible for initiatives related to such areas as innovative programs, educational technology, inclusion, and federal programs.


The Associate Superintendent joins mission-driven team members who are passionate about Catholic education and formation of over 37,000 children in the Archdiocese’s 65 Catholic schools in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties. The Associate Superintendent fulfills all duties and responsibilities and performs in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Miami.


Schedule: Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45 A.M. to 4:15 P.M., flexibility required on evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the schools. This position works full-time on site at the Pastoral Center in Miami Shores, beginning July 1, 2026.


Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Development and oversight of a comprehensive vision and plan for instructional technology in Catholic schools.
  • Fostering and advocacy of innovative programs that support Catholic identity, academic excellence, and operational vitality.
  • Oversight of the Catholic schools Data Dashboard, including related training for school personnel.
  • Oversight of system-level initiatives related to inclusion and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) programming, including professional development, problem solving, and coordination with outside agencies working with Catholic schools.
  • Coordination of all federal programs (ESSA, IDEA, etc.) that benefit Catholic school students and programs. This position provides key communication, training, and advocacy with the schools, service providers, and local/state agencies that relate to federal programs and related equitable services.
  • Oversight of the process to open new schools, working with local leaders and other Archdiocesan offices.
  • Duties under each key responsibility area, additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Education (preferably in Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or similar Field), preference for Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in school leadership (Catholic school leadership preferred).
  • State Certification as a principal and/or superintendent.
  • Strong oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Spanish-language ability preferred.
  • Must be supportive of the tenets of the Catholic Church.
  • Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders (e.g. pastors, principals, teachers).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong aptitude in informational and educational technology.
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of project management.
  • Skilled in working with and facilitating goal-setting process with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work successfully with the OCS team.
  • Ability to understand and serve diverse populations.
  • Possesses integrity, diligence, and dedication to the Catholic educational mission of the Archdiocese of Miami.
