What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Teacher - St. Bartholomew School position at Archdiocese of Indianapolis?
St. Bartholomew Catholic School is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Music Teacher to join our school community for the upcoming school year. This position may be either part-time or full-time depending on the candidate's availability and experience.
The ideal candidate will foster a love of music while supporting the mission of Catholic education through engaging instruction, creativity, and positive relationships with students and families.
Responsibilities:
Teach general music classes to elementary and/or middle school students
Prepare students for school performances, liturgies, and special events
Incorporate music appreciation, vocal instruction, rhythm, movement, and basic music theory into lessons
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and activities
Create a positive, organized, and faith-centered classroom environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred
Teaching license preferred but not required
Practicing Catholic preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
Experience working with children in a school or parish setting preferred
