What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Grade Teacher for Maternity Leave - St. Charles School position at Archdiocese of Indianapolis?
St. Charles Catholic School, located in Bloomington, serves students in pre-school through 8th grade and has a long history rooted in the Catholic faith. For Spring 2026, we are seeking to hire an energetic and positive teacher for maternity leave positions in 1st grade. Maternity leave would start mid-March and run through the end of the year in May. The teacher would be responsible for establishing routines and procedures, building positive relationships, and teaching a standards-aligned curriculum that ensures a student's love of learning and growth. Modeling Christian values in a faith environment is of priority. Additional duties, beyond the classroom assignment, may also be assigned.
A teacher's license is preferred but not mandatory. Must have a background in working in schools and enjoy teaching children.
