With this in mind, we are asking each prospective member of our team to prayerfully discern:
- The mission and vision of the Archdiocese of Detroit to renew and reinvent our Catholic schools in missionary discipleship.
- What it means to have a personal encounter with Jesus and live the faith.
- What it takes for every staff member to build a cohesive team, culture of prayer, and regularly evangelize and disciple each other.
- Plan and implement a comprehensive admissions process including school tours, assigning buddy families, and executing the acceptance process
- Maintain a digital database of prospective families
- Organize inquiries and communications regarding student eligibility and enrollment
- Communicate effectively with Principal, staff and other Catholic schools regarding new admissions
- Collaborate with digital graphic designer on school promotions and admission brochures
- Work with website coordinator to update admission information yearly
- Create admission reports to be shared with Principal
- Oversee budget for programming and admissions purchasing of spirit wear for prospective families
- Oversee annual Open House Event, New Family Picnic, Round Up and other events that promote OLGC school mission
- Generate letters and thank you cards for prospective families
- Generate exit survey with families leaving OLGC
- Develop positive relationships with the community
- Develop a strategic plan for retention, in collaboration with the administration, and measure retention annually
- Work with Marketing to ensure major publications and communications support strategic efforts to sustain the schools’ competitive position and long-term strength
- Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment
- Handle applications and communications with prospective students and their families
- Interview prospective students and their families
- Manage re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year
- Update FACTS SIS enrollment/re-enrollment packets with new forms and information yearly
- Recommend improvements for programs that relate to student and parent experience
- Marketing and communication
- Project management
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with others
- Ability to relate to a variety of personalities
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintains strict confidentiality and professional ethics
- Strong skills in communication both verbal and written
- Computer literacy (Google Workspace & Microsoft Office)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrate customer service values
- Be welcoming and respectful in communications and interactions
- Knowledgeable in Web/social media-Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Flocknote
- FACTS Management system (Student Information System) preferred
- Be a joyful missionary disciple and support the mission of the school
- Be versed in understanding criminal background checks, safe environment protocol, & Protecting God’s Children
- Intentionally contribute to a positive school culture among students, staff, and parents
- Warmly welcome and care for students, teachers, and parents
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Experience in admissions, enrollment or school administration
- Preferred two-five years of experience in a sales, marketing, or service industry
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Completion of Protecting God’s Children within the first 30-days of hire
- Is based in Plymouth, MI
- Reports to the OLGC Principal
- Hourly Wage (benefits included)
- Approximately 30-40 hours per week
