Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Provide compassionate care for dogs and cats in our boarding and medical facility
- Ensure all kennels, cages, and treatment areas are clean, sanitized, and well-organized
- Feed, bathe, and exercise pets as needed
- Assist with patient handling and preparation for exams and treatments
- Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the veterinary team
- Keep laundry, dishes, and facility areas in top shape
- Help create a welcoming and calm environment for both pets and their owners
- Previous experience working with animals
- Passion for keeping things clean, organized, and efficient
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
- Attentive to animal behavior; able to recognize signs of stress or illness
- Positive attitude with a strong sense of teamwork and fun
- Willingness to learn and provide gentle, compassionate care
- Must pass background check, provide references, and complete drug testing
