What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARAMEDIC position at Archbold?
Paramedic- Emergency Department
Description
Assist with patient care:
IV starts
Lab draws, including blood cultures
Rapid assessment- lobby and triage patients when ED is full and patients are in lobby
All duties of Nurse Tech (transport, POC testing, EKG, etc…)
Other assistive duties as delegated by nursing staff
Experience/Education
Graduate of a school of Paramedicine
Experience In EMS Preferred
Licensed by the Georgia Department of Public Health as a Paramedic
Current certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be completed within 6 months of hire.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must demonstrate competency in basic paramedic skills
Must possess the ability to learn basic computer skills
