Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Archbold Living Cairo
Position Description
The LPN works under and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN is responsible for providing direct resident care. This includes age-appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high-quality care.
Responsibilities and Purpose
- Direct resident care
- Assess and assist with managing patient's total needs following physician orders and utilization of nursing process
- Performs routine nursing procedures to meet the need of the resident
- Coordinates care and services with all team members
- Responsible for accurate completion of required documentation within established timeframe.
- Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate application of regulatory guidelines
- Responsible for attending continuing education and in-services as directed and needed
- Responsible for any other responsibilities assigned per facility along with above stated
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
- Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- Entry level, experience preferred and long-term care experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
Must be in good physical and mental health.
Supervises:
Care of a group of residents and nursing personnel assigned to them.
Supervised By:
Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse
