Certified Surgical Tech III / Team Leader - SURGERY
Description
Education Requirements: Completed an Accredited Surgical Technology Training Program and has current certification with the National Board of Surgical Technology. Current BLS Experience: Minimum of 3 years scrub experience in the operating room preferred.
Required Skills: Must be familiar with all facets of Surgical Technology functions and patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Must be accountable for 100 % of scrub position skills with no assistance. Meets all requirements for Surgical Technologists level II.
Physical Demands: Good physical and mental health. Must be able to lift, bend, pull, and push using good body mechanics, without limitation. Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material and visualize patients to the degree that changes in color or respirations can be detected; hearing ability with auditory aids to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker and speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. Must demonstrate ability to wear properly fitting respiratory masks for periods of time without limitation.
Supervises: Surgical Technology Students Supervised By: Director of Surgery, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Surgery Schedule Coordinator
