RECORDS COMPLETION COORDINATOR

Records Completion Coordinator- Medical Records

Description:

Consistently coordinates with all care providers for completion of all incomplete records within Joint Commission Standards

Communicate effectively with all care providers in getting their charts completed timely and accurately

Maintenance and Monitoring of records completion process

Other duties or projects as assigned by the Director or Electronic Chart Manager

Ability to interrelate well with hospital staff as well as medical staff

Must be able to keep all work highly confidential

Typing and computer skills

Attention to detail and accuracy is essential

Medical terminology

Communications skills, verbal and written

Must be able to exercise appropriate and effective judgment and initiative in performance of duties

Ability to provide instructions and leadership to the file clerks in their duties of chart flow

Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively under high stress conditions

Excellent grammar

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate

Some college or technical training and medical terminology preferred

Must have working knowledge of procedures and basic office equipment including computers
