What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Custom Cabinet Maker position at ArcHaus Design Studio?
ArcHaus Design Studio is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Master Cabinet Maker to join our growing shop team. This role is focused on custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and casework fabrication for high-end residential and commercial projects. This is a shop-only position — no CNC work and no installation.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands quality standards, and is looking to grow long-term with a company, not just fill a role.

- Operate cabinet saws, panel saws, and standard woodworking machinery
- Apply laminate (PLAM, HPL, TFL, melamine) finishes with precision
- Perform edge banding (manual and machine-assisted)
- Work with solid surface materials (cutting, seaming, finishing, and detailing)
- Assemble cabinets and casework to tight tolerances
- Read, interpret, and execute detailed shop drawings accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Collaborate with the design and shop team to meet schedules and quality expectations

- 5 years of experience in a professional cabinet or millwork shop
- Strong experience with custom cabinetry and casework
- Proven experience working with:
- Laminates / melamine / panel products

- Ability to independently read and understand shop drawings
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong work ethic and pride in finished work
What We’re Looking For
- Someone motivated to grow, improve skills, and take ownership of their work
- A team player looking for long-term stability, not short-term hopping
- A craftsman who values quality over speed
- Someone who wants to be part of a growing, high-standard shop
