Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client's living space to promote a safe and healthy environment.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality at all times.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Document care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in social work, assisted living, or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and familiarity with care plans is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of senior care practices and resident rights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate attitude towards providing care for individuals in need.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours based on client needs.
