We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager who is hands-on, organized, and committed to delivering a high-quality client experience.

Position Overview

The Construction Manager takes full ownership of each project once a contract is signed. You’ll work directly with the owner and manage all construction activities from planning through punch list. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the field, knows how to lead subcontractors, and is highly skilled at communicating with homeowners.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management

  • Take ownership of construction activities after the sales hand-off meeting.
  • Review contracts, drawings, and scopes to fully understand project expectations.
  • Perform material take-offs and coordinate ordering and delivery with suppliers.
  • Prepare subcontractor scopes of work and agreements.

Pre-Construction

  • Conduct kick-off meetings with homeowners to review schedule, expectations, and site logistics.
  • Set up jobsite logistics including dumpsters, porta-johns, utility locates, and staging areas.

Construction Execution

  • Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors to keep projects on time and on budget.
  • Call in inspections and ensure projects meet code, quality standards, and Archadeck build standards.
  • Visit active job sites nearly daily to monitor progress, safety, and workmanship.

Closeout

  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and to company standards.
  • Push for 5-star client satisfaction and online reviews.

Communication & Client Experience

  • Maintain proactive communication with homeowners at least 3 times per week.
  • Set and manage expectations clearly from day one.
  • Use JobTread, CompanyCam, Google Drive, Gmail, and other tools to keep projects organized.

Quality & Standards

  • Uphold consistent construction standards across all projects.
  • Participate in value engineering to help reduce costs or labor without sacrificing quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and identify new partners when needed.

Additional Duties

  • Assist sales team with pre-estimate consultations.
  • Prepare, submit, and track building permits.
  • Perform hands-on carpentry or labor as needed during slower periods.
  • Contribute to improving systems, workflows, and construction processes.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of residential construction experience (decks, framing, exterior carpentry, remodeling, or similar).
  • Experience managing subcontractors and running multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, engineered plans, and building codes.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to perform small hands-on tasks, punch list items, and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Proficient with job management software or willing to learn (JobTread preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with Colorado permitting processes (preferred but not required).

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Someone who enjoys being in the field—not behind a desk.
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of outcomes.
  • Someone who values craftsmanship, organization, and homeowner experience.
  • A leader who can coordinate subs while keeping clients informed and confident.
