Position Summary:
This role focuses on supporting the Arch Insurance Construction business unit by managing risk control services and collaborating closely with underwriting to ensure profitable insurance placements. It involves assessing construction-related risks, developing risk control strategies, and implementing risk improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Support: The position assists underwriting by prequalifying risks, assessing workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto liability exposures, and providing detailed feedback on loss history and unusual claims.
- Risk Improvement and Service Management: Includes developing and delivering risk control improvements, conducting loss analyses, contractual risk transfer reviews, fleet risk management, and training to reduce losses, while coordinating with claims management for integrated service delivery.
- Construction Industry Expertise: Requires knowledge of construction operations including general building, heavy/highway, specialty trades, and civil/marine sectors, familiarity with construction delivery systems, processes, contractual risk transfer, work zone liability management, and equipment operations such as fleet and cranes.
- 7-10 plus years in risk control or construction safety, preferably with field and managerial construction experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Relevant certifications like CSP, ARM, or CRIS are preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25-40%.

- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
