The Director, Property Risk Engineer is responsible for conducting Middle Market field surveys and providing comprehensive service support. This role includes both on-site physical surveys and virtual/phone assessments, focusing on detailed evaluations of operations, exposures, and control adequacy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct both on-site and virtual/phone assessments of prospects and clients.
- Perform detailed property evaluations and summarize findings in internal reports with appropriate recommendations for loss improvement.
- Assess sprinkler system adequacy and calculate Normal Loss Expectancies and Probable Maximum Loss Expectancies.
- Evaluate Nat Cat exposures (flood, windstorm, hail, wildfire, etc.).
- Provide support to underwriters, policyholders, and brokers.
- Extensive experience with conducting HPR (Highly Protected Risk) Property surveys.
- Competency with NFPA and FM data sheets.
- Experience in analyzing loss data and evaluating sprinkler system adequacy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite tools and applications.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for working with underwriters, policyholders, and brokers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong industry expertise in Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Hospitality.
- Education: Engineering, or comparable degree/experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of industry experience
