We are seeking to fill an opening for a long-term multi-year engagement in a client site position for an onsite DEERS/RAPIDS Site Security Manager (SSM). Work location is onsite in Fort Bragg NC. We accept direct hire candidates only, W2 employee hires. We do not accept 1099 independent consultants. We do not accept staffing firms. We do not accept corp-to-corp (C2C) candidates.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include the following. Provide oversight of the DEERS/RAPIDS site on the installation and supporting staff. Responsible for accountability, control, verification and issuance of military Common Access Card (CAC), the reset of CAC Personal Identification Numbers (PIN), and issuance of Military Identification (USID) cards for active duty military, Reserve and National Guard members, and other eligible recipients. Use experience and knowledge of operational functions in this role to apply and interpret a variety of rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents relating to CAC and USID card functions. Responsible for managing the security of RAPIDS workstations. Responsible for the following areas of operation: User Administration; Ordering, Management and Accountability of CAC stock and consumables; Policy and Procedure Compliance; Site Administration Documentation and Training; and the Use of the Automated Card Management System. As needed, perform duties of DEERS/RAPIDS Workstation Staff. Process all requests for Army ID tags (“dog tags”) to personnel of the United States Army, Army National Guard, Army National Guard of the United States and United States Army Reserve Soldier, Department of the Army (DA) Civilians overseas, and other authorized civilian personnel. Monitor site kiosks constantly to minimize customer waiting time. Available during normal hours of operation from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday except for Federal holidays. Available if needed under emergency conditions. For new staff, complete the following training: RAPIDS Verifying Officials (VO) Desktop Certification, and RAPIDS Verifying Officials (VO) Deployable Certification.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least two years of experience performing CAC and USID Card functions
- Must be capable of performing all duties and responsibilities of a Verifying Official (VO)
- Must have experience leading and supervising contract staff
