Data Security Governance Specialist

Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients.  Services include Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services.

For a client engagement we have need to fill a position for a Data Security Governance Specialist. Position is onsite in Hampton, Virginia as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Primary role is to assist the client with reviews of their current Information Technology Policies as relates to Data Security and also to provide inputs to Information Technology Procedures as related to Data Security.  Then also to help develop Data Security policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides expertise in understanding and taking steps to lessen the risks associated with collecting, storing, accessing, and transmitting data in a business setting.
• Organizes access to computer data files, evaluates data file use, and upgrades computer systems regularly to remain competitive in the field of security.
  
• Designs and implements safety measures and controls to help prevent security breaches; and designs and sets up action plans for data recovery.
• Analyzes a company's existing security systems, and recommends changes or improvements.
