Computer Network Specialist Onsite at Fort Knox KY

Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients.  Services include Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services.

Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Computer Network Specialist to support the client. This will be an on-site, in-office position in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Assist users in identifying and solving data communication problems

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, and evaluates existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems or a segment of a network system.
  
• Monitors and performs network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
  
• Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software upgrades.
  
• Identifies areas of operation, which need upgraded equipment.
  
• Conducts surveys to determine user needs.
  
• Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
  
• Assists users to identify and solve data communication problems.
  
• Trains users in use of equipment.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder presentations.
  
• Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated experience with a BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree required.
  
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of demonstrated experience as a Computer Network Specialist with a current SSCP, Cyber Security Analyst , Security , Network Defense Analyst, and Network certifications. An ITIL or similar certification is desirable.
  
• Minimum 3 – 4 years of relevant experience.
  
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance if required
