At ArcelorMittal North America the answer is there is a lot more.Join our team.Director Compensation and BenefitsArcelorMittal North AmericaOpportunity Reporting to the Head of HR ArcelorMittal North America, the Director Compensation and Benefits is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that provide a competitive level of pay, motivation, and reward to employees. Focuses on cash programs (salaries, bonuses), LTIP’s programs and benefits programs that cover salaried and non-union employee populations. Provide and evaluate organizational design, understanding the organization's needs and recommend optimized organizational structures.Advises senior management team on employee compensation topics.The position is the lead facilitator of compensation and benefits across the North America segment and works closely with the units in the implementation of any ArcelorMittal compensation and benefit processes.Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, bonuses, and performance-based pay.Conduct market research and benchmark studies to ensure competitive compensation practices.Lead recommendations for job evaluations, pay grades, and compensation adjustments.Oversee the annual salary review process, including merit increases and adjustments.Monitor the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and recommend modifications to reduce costs and improve delivery.Participate in negotiation of agreements with insurance carriers and financial institutions for administration of benefits programs and provide technical backup to union negotiations on benefits matters.Design and manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave policies.Negotiate and manage relationships with benefits providers and vendors.Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of benefits programs and recommend enhancements as needed.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to benefits administration.Ensure that HR supports the organization’s role in Health and Safety in every step of the employee life cycle.Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies and procedures.Assure that required records and reports are maintained and issued.Stay updated on relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on compensation and benefits metrics and strategies.Communicate compensation and benefits programs to executive leadership and address related inquiries.Provide guidance and training to managers on compensation and benefits topics.Professional Experience and Qualifications Minimum 10 years of HR experience.Minimum 5 years of experience leading compensation and benefits initiatives.Good leadership presence and communication skills.Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex concepts in a concise manner.Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly matrix, dynamic environment.Additional qualifications that will be seen as a nice to have : Experience in steel or manufacturing industry.Proven 5 years of experience working in a similar role.Experience in global settings with multiple stakeholders.Education University degree in business administration, finance, or relevant field.What we’ll offerWe offer competitive salary, bonus, paid vacation, 401k employer match, health insurance, prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance etc.Call to action Join us and you’ll see your work help create renewable energy, impact major industries and boost economies.
