Raw Material Handling Technician - Charging System (352980) PORTLAND, TX, United States Trending Job Description Responsible for the operational performance of their assigned area to continually meet production, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance targets while on shift. Tasks & Responsibilities Knows, understands, and follows all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements. Operate and certify in Raw Material Handling Equipment Performs Lock out/ Tag out and issues safety permits Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement. Assists Shift Lead and Safety department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans. Operates and maintains a clean work area Retrieve samples as needed Participate in mandatory on-site and off-site training courses that include safety, regulatory requirements, handling of hazardous and volatile materials, and equipment repair and maintenance Troubleshooting equipment Performs incidental/preventative maintenance in operating areas Maintains compliance in mandatory training as per company specs Performs other duties assigned as needed Qualifications Advanced knowledge of operational and industrial principles 3 years of experience in production, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams of people Mechanical aptitude Minimum of 3 years operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.) Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in though environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise & dust), and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions.
