Job Summary
Small janitorial company seeking a reliable and detail oriented individual to fill a daytime custodian position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing janitorial services to two locations, one in Wilmington, Ma and one in Burlington, Ma. Hours are flexible, but work must be performed during business hours, 5 days a week, Monday-Friday. 20 hours total per week. You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor supply levels of cleaning materials and notify management when replenishments are needed.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus.
