Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm in Toledo, Cleveland or Akron, OH working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams.
As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.

Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.
Role Accountabilities
- Develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning, and performing regulatory studies.
- Provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and review of technical reports,
- Lead client presentations, coordinating project deliverables, and contributing to scope definition and project pursuits.
- Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
- Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
- Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential, along with proficiency in GIS.
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning
- Master's degree
- Project delivery experience
- Familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python.
