Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our North America Product Stewardship & Sustainability team. Based in Michigan, reporting up to 4 days/week to a client office in Auburn Hills, MI. This full-time role involves regulatory compliance tasks with occasional local travel.

This role will sit within the larger Global Resilience Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating product regulatory compliance, including environmental and transportation regulations.
  • Conducting risk assessments for chemical and automotive industry standards.
  • Managing small projects and communicating compliance findings to stakeholders.
  • Compliance activities related to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR); monitor global EPR regulations; ensure program alignment and drive process improvements.
  • Creating presentations and supporting the design and implementation of effective training programs.

The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, be self-motivated, work well in a team, and ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of U.S. compliance regulations (TSCA, EPR, California Proposition 65) and automotive industry standards.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in product stewardship or chemical/materials regulatory compliance.
  • BS in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hazard classifications (UN GHS, US OSHA).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Trello.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $55,200-$82,800. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
