What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Massage Therapist position at Arcadian Massage & Wellness?
Experienced Massage Therapist – Join a Studio That Values You
At Arcadian Massage & Wellness, we believe exceptional client care begins with taking care of the people who provide it.
We're looking for an experienced, licensed massage therapist who is passionate about their craft and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative team—not another high-pressure, churn-and-burn spa environment.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you'll notice the difference. Our peaceful studio was intentionally designed to create a sense of calm for both clients and therapists. We believe that when our team works in a healthy, respectful environment with a sustainable work-life balance, they're able to provide the highest quality care to every client.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a seasoned therapist who:
- Has strong therapeutic massage skills and confidence working independently.
- Values quality over quantity.
- Enjoys collaborating with teammates rather than competing with them.
- Takes pride in creating meaningful client relationships.
- Is reliable, professional, and committed to continual growth.
- Appreciates a workplace built on kindness, respect, and open communication.
What It's Like to Work Here
We don't believe therapists should feel like they're on an assembly line.
Instead, you'll find:
- A calm, beautifully maintained studio.
- A supportive team that genuinely helps one another succeed.
- Management that values your input and respects your time.
- A workplace where professionalism and compassion go hand in hand.
- An environment that encourages long-term career satisfaction—not burnout.
Seasonal Schedule
Our business is located in a tourist community, so our workload naturally follows the seasons.
- Summer and fall are our busiest months, and therapists should expect a fuller schedule during these times.
- Winter is typically slower, providing an opportunity to recharge, pursue continuing education, and enjoy a lighter workload.
We're looking for someone who appreciates this seasonal rhythm and enjoys the balance it brings.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Massage & Bodywork Therapy License
- Professional liability insurance
- Minimum of 2 years of professional massage therapy experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform therapeutic, relaxation, and customized massage treatments
- Saturday availability
If you're looking for a workplace where you'll be respected as a professional, supported as a teammate, and encouraged to build lasting relationships with clients, we'd love to meet you.
Come grow with us and help create a space where wellness extends to everyone—including our team.
