Arcadian Canine is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role caring for dogs in our professional training and boarding programs. Responsibilities
- Feed and care for dogs according to individual instructions
- Supervise structured dog play groups
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Clean kennels, play yards, and common areas
- Pick up after dogs and maintain a clean facility
- Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns
- Assist trainers with daily kennel operations
- Maintain accurate feeding and medication records
- Communicate professionally with clients during drop-off and pick-up
- Help ensure every dog has a safe, clean, and enjoyable stay
Qualifications
- Passion for working with dogs
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to stay active throughout the workday
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable cleaning kennels and handling animal waste
