Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Information Systems with a strong technical background and a willingness to do whatever it takes to support our customers and internal teams. This leader must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and actively contributing to technical work—not just directing others.
This role requires someone who can serve as the project manager for most major IT initiatives while also stepping into technical gaps as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong systems administration experience, the ability to troubleshoot and execute technical tasks, and the leadership maturity to guide a diverse team.
What You’ll Lead & Oversee:
You’d serve as the strategic leader over the Information Systems department, guiding both the operational and technical components. The role oversees multiple teams, including:Helpdesk, Network Engineering, Server Administration, Applications, Programming, Interfaces, IS Specialists, and Telecommunications.
Key Focus Areas:
- Infrastructure planning & development
- Systems administration (7 years required)
- Microsoft SQL Server environment management
- EMR/EHR (hospital or ambulatory) experience
- Project management & policy development
- Regulatory knowledge: HIPAA, Joint Commission, Meaningful Use
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing technical teams
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor’s in IT, Business, or Hospital Administration (Master’s preferred)
- Leadership experience managing technical/operational teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and long-range planning capabilities
- Progressive, solution-focused mindset
