Reading Specialist / Tutor

Arcadia Literacy & Learning is seeking a Reading Tutor who is passionate, kind, and loves learning. This role will entail working with students in a one on one setting at our Arcadia center location. We specialize in working with kids with dyslexia & ADHD, so we are looking for fun, empathetic, and patient instructors.

Training in Arcadia Literacy & Learning Programs will be provided for all tutors, no previous training required, but previous teaching experience or experience working with children in a professional setting is highly preferred.

Tutor Responsibilities:

• Facilitate one on one sessions with students
• Create lessons based on a set curriculum (training and curriculum provided)
• Create a warm, welcoming environment for each student
• Communicate with management team to provide feedback on student progress on the plan
• Use multi sensory instructional techniques and positive praise to build student understanding (training provided)
• Build rapport and strong working relationships with students
• Participate in monthly team meetings
