Arcadia GlassHouse is a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality aluminum greenhouses and greenhouse accessories. We are seeking additional greenhouse fabricator to join our growing team. Experience in aluminum is preferred.
Job Summary
The greenhouse fabricator position is a permanent, full-time laborer fabricating and assembling aluminum greenhouses and related products at its manufacturing facility in Madison, Ohio.
After a period of training and experience, this position will be eligible to travel one week a month for additional pay to install our high-quality residential and school greenhouses across the country. On-site installation experience with windows, doors, patio enclosures, flashing, caulking, etc., is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom greenhouses by cutting, drilling and assembling extruded aluminum components.
- Read and interpret drawings/instructions to meet project requirements.
- Cut raw aluminum materials to specified dimensions using tools such as miter saws, band saws, or shears, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Assist in other production and operations tasks as necessary.
- Maintain and clean cutting tools and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and meet project deadlines.
- Identify and troubleshoot production/assembly problems.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in construction.
- Proficiency in reading tape measures and using cutting/drilling tools. g.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation and attendance
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Comfortable working in various positions, including overhead
- Shop environment with temperature variations depending on season.
- Monday thru Friday 7:30am-4:00pm; overtime as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience in installation of windows, doors, patio enclosures
- Operation of small power tools and other hand tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38.0 per week
