The Financial Planning Advisor supports Arcadia’s advisory team by preparing comprehensive financial plans, analyzing client data, and coordinating across departments to ensure accurate, timely, and personalized recommendations. This role serves as a critical bridge between advisors, client service, and operations, playing a key role in delivering a Second‑to‑None client experience through precision, preparation, and follow‑through. Reports to the Lead Paraplanner and the Director of Planning Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Case Preparation
- Collaborate closely with Advisors on client planning engagements and case strategy.
- Gather, organize, and analyze comprehensive client financial data.
- Enter and maintain accurate data within eMoney and other planning software.
- Draft financial plan analyses and recommendations for Advisor review.
- Prepare annuity and insurance quotes and supporting fact sheets.
- Prepare meeting agendas, financial plans, and client‑facing presentation materials.
- Communicate directly with clients to collect, clarify, and follow up on required information.
- Proactively track and follow up on outstanding client items.
- Coordinate with Advisors and Client Service team to ensure readiness for client meetings.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and well‑organized client records.
- Prepare and process compliance documentation related to onboarding, recommendations, and transactions.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of planning work.
- Assist with Pontera rebalancing and monitoring as applicable.
- Review maturing planning items and support the development of action plans.
- Participate in case review meetings and planning team collaboration.
- Contribute to the refinement and documentation of planning processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other paraplanners to balance workloads and upcoming case needs.
- Participate in internal team initiatives, cross‑department collaboration, and quarterly check‑ins.
- Provide administrative or operational coverage when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent financial industry experience.
- Series 65 or 66 license required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and ownership of planning work.
- Thinks critically and proactively identifies solutions and next steps.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with Advisors, clients, and internal teams.
- Values accuracy, preparation, and follow‑through as essential to client trust.
- Maintains a client‑centric mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
- Demonstrates interest in long‑term career development within financial planning or advisory roles.
