What You’ll Do

The Safety Coordinator supports the safety program by helping implement policies, monitor compliance, and promote a culture of safety. This role assists with inspections, training, documentation, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness, working closely with operations, facilities, and Human Resources to ensure regulatory compliance and safe, efficient workplaces.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday (Full-Time), 8:00am - 4:00pm

Compensation

• Salary Range: $41,000.00 - $58,500.00 Annually

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas; document findings and track corrective actions.
• Support compliance with OSHA/HIOSH and applicable CMS regulations.
• Assist in developing, updating, managing and communicating safety policies, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Record accident reports, near misses, and hazards via the company’s incident management system. Support root cause analyses; collaborate on corrective and preventive action plans.
• Assist with onboarding safety orientations, and Safety Zone campaigns.
• Support development and periodic review of emergency response plans (evacuation, fire, medical, severe weather) and training.
• Assist with safety communications during incidents and communication with HHEM (WebEOC, Emergency Phone, etc…)
• Assist with risk assessments and vulnerability for all facilities, equipment, and projects.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation: inspections, training logs, incident reports, permits, and regulatory postings.
• Compile safety metrics and dashboards prepare periodic reports for leadership.
• Track injury and incident trends; create tends and summaries for leadership and the Safety Committees.
• Coordinate and participate in safety committee meetings, capture minutes and action items.
• Coordinate and upload updates and communications via Safety Zone on AFC Connect. 
• Oversees and Manages Budget/Resources
  • Develops annual capital budgets for area(s) of responsibility
  • Manages resources and operates within approved budget

Education

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent

  Preferred: Associate’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.

Computer Skills

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools to prepare safety documentation, reports, and training materials.
