POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This role will be directly responsible for coordinating and performing a wide variety of administrative projects, including assisting in the accounts payable and receivable process, and supporting employee-focused activities at the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Research and resolve accounting and payroll issues.
- Provides financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects as needed.
- Check documents for validity and accuracy of information; performs mathematical calculations; records and files related paperwork and documents.
- Ensure all invoices are properly approved and coded to the general ledger.
- Perform the data entry of invoices and balancing in the accounting system.
- Maintain vendor records and vendor database.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required. Associate's degree or above preferred.
- Must have at least three years of accounting experience.
- Must be proficient in mathematics, accounting and MS Office.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and be able to work under tight deadlines.
- Possess an understanding of general ledger and how to categorize expenses.
