What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater - Direct Support Professional/Caregiver position at ARCA?

Must be able to work with individuals with variety of needs including personal care needs and challenging behaviors. The Floater is responsible for implementing and documenting daily teaching program activities as outlined in the individuals' program plans. Will teach and assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, meal preparation, and social and recreational activities. Will monitor individuals (at night if working a graveyard shift) and perform housekeeping duties as assigned. Assist individuals while at emergency room and give accurate information to doctors and nurses. Ensure daily routines of individuals. Must be a great communicator and networker with others. Must be comfortable providing personal care to male & female individuals.
This position requires 6 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Specific experience working with a broad range of disabilities including extensive personal care and aggressive behaviors is strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to provide effective teaching and behavioral supports to persons with developmental disabilities. Must be available to work at least 1 day on the weekend.

Schedule: Flexible as Determined. One weekend day is mandatory and full-time weekend only jobs are available also! Pay range varies by ARCA Division and differentials for weekend and/or night awake shifts.
