Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care and support to individuals who are medically fragile and have developmental disabilities. ARCA has beautiful Supported Living homes scattered throughout the Albuquerque community with 3 to 4 residents living in the home. These homes are staffed 24/7 and we are seeking staff for WEEKEND & EVENING shifts. In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your dedication will foster a positive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and supported in their daily lives. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications and follow care plans accurately
- Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote healthy eating habits
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping tasks
- Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Document care activities thoroughly while respecting residents’ privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is preferred but not required. Paid comprehensive training program is provided.
- Experience with medically fragile individuals a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and good driving record. Transportation is an essential function of the position
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or health challenges
- Must have excellent puntuality and attendance to meet the needs of the individuals served.

Pay: $16.75 - $18.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
