Position Overview
- The Project Architect is responsible for the day-to-day production of construction documents and technical drawings, typically acting as the bridge between project managers and junior drafting staff.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule, handle consultant coordination, and oversee CAD/Revit production from schematic design through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Production: Producing high-quality construction documents (CDs), drawings, and technical details.
- Coordination: Managing coordination between consultants (MEP, structural) and ensuring plans comply with building codes.
- Project Phases: Support all phases, including Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Administration (such as reviewing shop drawings and RFIs).
- Communication: Acting as a liaison between the Project Manager, consultants, and clients for daily project operations.
- Mentorship: Assigning tasks to junior staff, checking their work, while maintaining drafting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- Years of experience not including internships: 5 years
- Licensed or on track to become licensed
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong leadership skills
