Physical Therapist Assistant

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide physical therapy services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), these include clinical assessments as well as implementing treatment plans and services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in providing physical therapy for individuals evaluated by PT and in conjunction with physical therapy treatment plan.
- Follows the treatment plan established by the PT and approved by individual's physician.
- Collaborates with the individual's physician and therapist in course of treatment.
- Works with staff and parents in carryover of programs to the individual's daily routine and experiences.
- Travels to various sites in the community to provide services.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed and registered as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the NYS Department of Education
- 1-year of training or working with the developmentally disabled population preferred
- A valid NYS driver's license

Shift: This position will be 14 hours a week spread between 2 full days or multiple half days with the potential to increase hours in the future!
