Overnight Support Staff

Arc of Maui County is dedicated to providing essential support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to promote independence, self-determination, and an improved quality of life through a range of services including residential care, adult day health programs, and community-based support.

Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Overnight Awake Support Staff member to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients during overnight hours, while also promoting their independence and quality of life. Located in Kahului, this position plays a key role in delivering compassionate care.

Shift is 8p-8a Weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) 36hrs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during overnight hours.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients in a residential setting.
• Assist clients with daily living activities as needed, promoting independence.
• Maintain accurate records of client activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other staff regarding client needs.
• Support clients in achieving personal goals and improving their quality of life.
• Provide medication administration assistance, personal care, behavioral support, housekeeping, and meal prep.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caregiving experience or experience working with Special Needs or Elderly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Test.
• CPR/FA and current TB (will assist to obtain).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
