Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 1:30 PM

As a Day Program Specialist / Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll help participants build confidence and independence socially, physically, and emotionally, while keeping their safety and dignity front and center.
Day to day, you'll support participants with hygiene, meals, and mobility, and help bring individualized program plans to life through engaging activities and community outings. You'll keep documentation current in our agency systems, safely transport participants in agency vehicles, and foster an inclusive, respectful environment. When behavioral or emergency situations come up, you'll respond with a calm, steady presence.
We're looking for someone with a high school diploma or GED, a valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (Medication Administration certification too, if required). Strong communication skills, comfort with basic software, and a compassionate, patient, reliable approach to care will help you thrive here.
This is an active, hands-on role involving lifting, transfers, personal care, and mobility support, along with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. You'll join community outings, drive agency vehicles, and follow safety and infection control protocols.
