Arc Mental Health is a community mental health center with locations in South Miami, Miami Lakes, AND SOON OPENING IN HIALEAH, FL. We offer clients psychiatric services, individual and family counseling, as well as targeted case management services in a safe and welcoming environment. All of our providers are fully bilingual and offer services in-person or via telehealth.
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this fee-for-service position, you will provide individual and family counseling services to clients who are seeking support for a variety of mental health concerns. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping clients improve their mental and emotional well-being, while working within a flexible and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions to clients dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on each client’s unique needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals, as needed, to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information at all times.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision as required.
Skills
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Registered Intern standing preferred, but will also help recent graduates with this process.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing psychotherapy.
- Experience with a different client populations and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Good clinical documentation skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
