Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Welders and Pipefitters to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work meets rigorous safety standards and industry codes. Your expertise in welding techniques, pipefitting, and blueprint interpretation will be essential to delivering high-quality results on time and within specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects from within the industrial facilities contributing to critical infrastructure development.
Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute pipe installation and fabrication tasks.
- Perform various welding processes including Stainless and Carbon welding, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and pipe welding using welding techniques as required by project specifications.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems for plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler fitting, pipeline, and other mechanical applications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for pipe bending, tube bending, rigging, soldering, caliper measurements, and pipe threading.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols in accordance with NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for complex installations or repairs on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings with precision.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipefitting processes including pipe threading, fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, pipe benders, soldering equipment, power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe dimensions and fitting specifications.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for lifting heavy pipes or equipment safely during installation or maintenance tasks.
- Understanding of safety regulations related to pipe installation, welding operations, and equipment handling to ensure compliance at all times.
