Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Manage teams of electricians on-site, providing guidance on electrical installation procedures, safety protocols, and code compliance.
- Install low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components critical for industrial operations.
- Ensure all work adheres to building codes, electrical safety procedures, and NFPA 70 compliance requirements during every phase of the project.
- Review blueprints for electrical drafting, interpret section details for accurate implementation, and verify blueprint accuracy before proceeding with installation or modifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local building codes related to electrical work.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately for installation or troubleshooting tasks.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, testing equipment such as ohmmeters, and high-voltage systems.
- Demonstrated ability to perform electrical diagnostics efficiently in complex environments involving industrial electrical systems.
- Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new installations in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
